Imagine having your body left to Science...
The University of Wisconsin- Madison has imprisoned, cut into, and killed countless cats in an experiment about sound localization. Once PETA learned that an experimenter at UW took pictures of the abuse, they demanded that the photos be released. For three years UW fought to keep its cruelty a secret, but a successful PETA lawsuit compelled the University to release the pictures. Among the pictures released, some show the miserable life and death of a beautiful orange tabby cat named Double Trouble. She was tormented for months. Double Trouble was subjected to invasive surgeries on her skull, ears, and brain. In the surgeries performed on her they screwed in a stainless steel post into her skull so her head would be immobilized. They also cut into her head and skull and then applied a toxic substance to her inner ears to deafen her and they also implanted electrical devices deep into her ears. But the worst part is that records show that Double Trouble woke up during one of these surgeries. Leading up to Double Trouble's death she suffered from a lot of pain. From going without food, twitching, her face being partially paralyzed, to opened wounds from her head surgeries, and more.
