Physical and Environmental Signs
Physical abuse is where an owner is hitting or physically abusing an animal. Physical signs on animal abuse are having a collar wrapped around your pet's neck so tight they have wounds around their necks or where the collar is so tight it has become embedded into the animals neck. Physical signs also include open wounds, multiple healed wounds or ongoing injuries or illnesses. Extreme thinness is also considered physical abuse. Environmental signs considered as animal abuse are; were you tie up your pet outside for long periods of time without food or water. It's also were you keep your pet outside in inclement weather or kept in an area with garbage, broken glass, and feces. There are also more physical and environmental signs on animal abuse.
